Pryor Mountain Wild Horse Range

For almost 200 years, the Pryor Mountains have been home to free-roaming bands of wild horses.  The government has set aside an area of 31,000 acres on top of the Pryor Mountains as a refuge to those horses, who are said to be descendents of the spanish "colonial" horses.  There are TV shows and documentaries about those horses and one in particular that you might have heard about: "Cloud". We do day trips to the wild horse range and the ice caves in the area. It is a whole day, but absolutely worth the time. Open only between June and September/October
